This year will be one of the most challenging elections McLean County has ever faced. I need your help and your vote. Social media can be both a blessing and a curse. Check the "News" link above where I will be addressing misrepresentations of issues. BUDGET: I'll start here with our budget and go into more detail as needed under "News" on any issue. Each year, county departments will go over budget or underbudget and each year we have an end of year amendment process with the county. Every year our budget and any needed amendments, have been presented and approved by the County Board. Many years we have been underbudget and many years we have been overbudget. Budgets are any office's best estimate for the coming year and often we have unfunded and unexpected mandates, especially with our elections. We only spend money on what we need to run our office effectively.
EXPERIENCE
It's been an honor working for McLean County through 25 elections, along with keeping our many other office divisions running smoothly. Each year, elections have become more and more challenging, and we have met each challenge with a solid reputation of fraud-free, supression-free elections. We got through the COVID years developing ways where service never stopped; all with the safety of staff and the public as the highest priority.
